Hi there -

I'm looking for a second-hand monitor to use with my Apple. No
requirements but stable picture - the cheaper the better.

Alternatively, does anybody know a shop where I could have a look?

Rgds,
Christian

Strong suggestion: get a bog-standard PC VGA monitor. You _can_ use them
on a Mac, given a VGA-to-mac monitor adapter. These cost about fifteen
quid (from MacWarehouse, Mac Line, or similar operation). The advantage
is that once you've got such a dongle, it's easier to find monitors --
VGA ones are ubiquitous, and you should be able to pick up an S/H colour
one for fifty quid or so.

(The gadget is also handy when you get a bit more money, and decide a
nice no-name 17" colour monitor would look good, but find Apple want
700 quid for one while everyone else is charging 350-550 quid.)
