Did you see my car crash? If you did could you get in touch with me please? It happened last Thursday (25th) in Mayfield Road right outside KB at 5pm. Here's what happened: My car was a red Citroen BX (F851BAT), and I was waiting in Mayfield Road facing into town, indicating right and wanting to turn right into Ross Road (to go down towards Cameron Toll), waiting for a break in the traffic. A metallic dark green VW Polo (P192MSC) came up Mayfield Road into town and crashed straight into the back of my car. The driver apparently wasn't aware that my car was there, because I saw no attempt to slow down (I saw the whole thing in my rear view mirror!) - one second hurtling along, the next **CRUNCH**. It was very obviously the other person's fault, and there were no injuries and no police prosecutions, so I don't think the insurance claim would be hugely controversial; but it would help a lot if I had witnesses. You probably wouldn't need to do very much, if anything, except give me your name & address for me to put on my claim form. Lots of people saw the crash, and if *you* did, please mail me at cc@dcs.ed.ac.uk or phone me on 650 5203. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks! -- -- Chris.
