We are a group of researchers at the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow who are presently conducting an experimental study of language use in English. As part of this study, we are looking for people who are willing to take part in a psycholinguistic experiment conducted over the World Wide Web. To participate, you need to be a native speaker of English. The task is quite interesting; it involves the completion of English sentence fragments such that grammatically acceptable sentences are formed. After we have completed our study, participants will receive a detailed debriefing that explains the design and the results of the experiment. The experiment will take about 20-25 minutes to complete. To participate, you will need a web browser which supports Java (e.g. Netscape 3 or higher, Internet Explorer 3 or higher). The experiment is called "Sentence Completion" and can be found at the following web site: http://surf.to/experiments/ Thanks in advance for your help! --- Christoph Scheepers (University of Glasgow) Martin Corley (University of Edinburgh) Frank Keller (University of Edinburgh) -----------== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==---------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own
