We have two excellent seats available for the September 5 performance of the Atlanta Opera Company production of Benjamin Britten's "Albert Herring" The seats are in the eighth row center of the orchestra section of the Woodruff Arts Center symphony hall. We paid $59 apiece for these, and will take $90 for the pair. Contact Tim Drabik at (404) 853-9449, or by E-mail at drabik@solaris.gatech.edu. A synopsis of the opera follows, taken from the program guide: Albert Herring "This clever spoof on Victorian pomposity opens with Lady Billows and her high-minded committee trying to find a suitable virgin to be crowned May Queen. To their dismay, there is none to be found, and so, to teach the girls a lesson, they elect a new May *King*--the reluctant Albert Herring." "Britten is at his wry comic best in this tale of lost innocence. One of this century's leading composers, he has fashioned a delightful comedy, where puritanical values and witty dialogue create an entertaining evening for everyone." --
