Bjarne Stroustrup, el creador del lenguaje C++ ;-) Tiene un libro
llamado "The C++ Programming Language", cuyo titulo y contenido es
similar al famoso "The C Programming Language" de Kernigham y Ritchie
para C.

Yo tengo la tercera edicion traducida al castellano. Es un libro de
referencia muy completo que incluye una buena parte de la STL
tambien. El ISBN por si le interesa a alguno:

        Stroustup, Bjarne. El lenguaje de programacion C++, 3
        edicion. Addison-Wesley Iberoamericana. 1998. ISBN
        84-7829-019-2.

Precio aproximado: 48 euros.
