Puedes programar siguiendo el API original a bajo nivel (no tan bajo) Xlib.
El problema es que tiene limitaciones en cuanto a las facilidades para
crear di�logos, botones, bonitos men�es, etc.

Como alternativas existen multitud de APIs como GTK+, Gtk--, Qt, wxWindows...
unas est�n escritas orientadas a objetos, otras son multiplataformas. En fin,
las posibilidades son inmensas.
