細田と申します。

XEmacs-21.4.4上で、

ispell-3.1.20-25
aspell-en_GB-0.33.7.1-1mdk
libaspell10-0.33.7.1-1mdk
aspell-0.33.7.1-1mdk
libaspell10-devel-0.33.7.1-1mdk
aspell-en_CA-0.33.7.1-1mdk
aspell-en-0.33.7.1-1mdk

と言った組合せでaspellを使用しているのですが、いつ頃からか
aspellを使用しようとすると、minibufferに

number-char-or-marker-p, nil

と出て使えなくなってしまいました。

backtraceを取ってみると、

と出てます。

もう一つの箱では同じ仕様で使っているのに何の問題もなく使えて
おります。

backtrace見てもさっぱりです。(^^;;;

何か御教示頂けるとありがたいです。

自己フォローです。

良く調べてみたら、aspell自体がsegmentation faultを起こしてい
ました。そこで、RedHatのRawhideから少しだけ新しい
aspell-0.33.7.1-16.src.rpmを取って来て、recompileしてインス
トールしなおしたら、あっさり治りました。
