Access to fj newsgroups; what software needed?

Please excuse this posting in English. One of our users would like to
read the fj.* groups, but does not know what software is needed to do so.
I have heard of kterm for X Windows, and am pursuing that. Is there 
software for PC's or Macintoshes that will enable one to read the groups?
Please respond to me by email, as I (obviously!) am not a regular reader.
Thank you for any help you can give.
