ECUC'92, this year's European Convex Users' conference, will be
held in Oxford at the end of September. The conference
(organized by Convex users) will be two and a half days long
starting on the afternoon of Wednesday, 30 September and
finishing late afternoon on Friday, 2 October.
There will be presentations, technical briefings, panel
sessions, a user business session, and special interest groups
and birds-of-a-feather meetings. There will also be poster
displays. Convex and a variety of third-party vendors will be
exhibiting and demonstrating their products.
Two intensive tutorials--on Code Optimization (one and a half
days) and on System Tuning and Performance (one day)--will be
held in parallel prior to the conference.

Users all around the world will be presenting papers on a full
range of topics; the list is beyond the scope of this brief
message. Convex speakers include Bob Paluck, chairman and
president, Steve Wallach, senior vice president of technology,
and John Gelsey, their massively parallel products' manager, as
well members from their file-server, networking, visualization,
and compiler products sections.

This Conference is being held in Oxford, renowned for its
university, which is the oldest in the English-speaking world.
The very pleasant town, known as the 'City of Spires' because of
its skyline of towers and steeples, contains many buildings
dating from the 13th-17th centuries.

So,
if you would like to come to the super computing conference
