There have been problems with Reduce under Aix 3.2.2 and 3.2.3 on the
IBM RS6000 workstations which (sometimes) crashed the complete system.

You can ftp a fix from ZIB Berlin by following the appended procedure.

Please start an anonymous ftp from

ftp serv03.zib-berlin.de

  serv03.zib-berlin.de == 130.73.108.11

        cd to

cd pub/reduce/ibmrs

        and transfer (*BINARY*) (904589 byte file)

tarfile.Z

to the reduce root directory ($reduce).

When it arrives, please change to the reduce root directory ($reduce)
and do

uncompress tarfile

tar -xvf tarfile

util/sparsify psl/bpsl

chmod +x psl/bpsl

Done.
