REDUCE is available for the DEC Alpha platform now. (This version is based
on Portable Standard LISP (PSL)).

We like to thank the RRZ at the University of Cologne for supporting this
port.

Since we are not allowed to publish cpu time benchmarks for the machine
(it's a prerelease of the operating system), we may say that the DEC Alpha
REDUCE performance is among the top workstations.

In a medium range view the availabilty of a 64 bit address space on this
platform may be of much bigger importance than the raw cpu speed.
