Herewith we announce a portable C implementation of
UTAH STANDARD LISP
As known this is also the original lisp dialect REDUCE was
written in.
The software and documentation is:
* Freely distributed. No registration, distribution
fee requested.
* Is a full implementation of the lisp dialect
described in the
"Standard Lisp Report"
by: J. B. Marti, A. C. Hearn, M. L.Griss, and C. Griss,
Published in: SIGPLAN Notices 14, No 10 (1979) 48--68,
ACM, New York.
* Its features include:
o Register based implementation.
o Arbitrary precision arithmetic.
o Compiled function tracing and redefinability.
o Page oriented dynamic memory allocation
for lisp-data types.
o A full off-line compiler that compiles LISP
code into C code.
(This compiler is based on the
"Portable Lisp Compiler"
by Hearn and Griss, described in software-
practice and experience, Vol 11 (1981),
the LAP=>C conversion is fully implemented,
and works coherent with the lisp-machine
that is coded in C.
o It includes a LaTeX implementation manual.
