After some struggle I have succeeded to get the PHYSOP package (version 1.5) running with CSL-Reduce. Soon after that, I encountered the problem described below. In the meanwhile, I found out that the same problem exists with a PSL-based Reduce running on VAX under VMS, so I conclude it is not a problem caused by my hacks to get PHYSOP running under CSL-Reduce, but rather a problem of PHYSOP. scalop jx,jz; state ket; let jz | ket = xxx*ket; 3*jz | ket; returns: 3*xxx*ket whereas 3*jx | ket; returns: *** a warning that the evaluation was incomplete due to missing rules, and jx | ket the factor three has been lost! Does anybody know about this problem, and is willing to let me know the cure?
