Didn't you see the TV show "Oshare 30 30"(?) on 15 Nov.(Sun.) ? He
was the guest that night. And in the talk show, he mentioned the
difficulty to get Japanese citizenship. He said his families were also
investigated. Maybe some GAIMU-SHO YAKUNIN flew to Rio. And also he
said this was rather undercover thing, so he didn't know this at that
time.

BTW, I believe he goes to Atlanta 4 years later as a Olympic member.
And the whole world will know Japan is not a monoracial country.
(though, I think Japan will try to stay monoracial, this is not PC.)

Yes. Mr. Ramos has KANJI name. Is this mandatory? If so, this must be
1 of the reasons why so few foreigners try to get Japanese
citizenship. But actually, even who have KANJI name already don't have
Japanese citizenship, Proud Korean people. Mr. Ramos is more Japanese
than Koreans(N&S) who were born in Japan and have never visited the
Peninsula.

I can't post to fj.life.in-japan from my site, Sorry.
