                  Preliminary Announcement of the 

		        Second  ALGI seminar

			Januari 11-12, 1996

		   Hitachi Advanced Research Lab,
		       Hatoyama, Saitama-ken

This is an informal, peripatetic series of seminars on applications of
algebra, logic and geometry to informatics, as well as applications of
informatics to these areas of mathematics.

Invited participants will be 
	Till Plewe (Imperial College, UK), 
	John Power (Edinburgh University, UK) and 
	Patrick O'Hearn (Syracuse University, USA)
who all will be visiting ETL at that time.

HARL can easily be reached by the frequent Tobu-Tojo line from
Ikeburo. Take the express train to Takasaka (app. 1 hr), and then one
proceeds by Hitachi bus or by taxi (app. 15 min.)

We will provide further information on the seminar (program,
abstracts, location, how to get there) to participants on of the
seminar by email. This information will also become available at the
home page of ALGI at ETL:
