I also know someone who complained of the same
problem.
Are there many people in Japan reading Japanese
articles in
deja.com? Is there a separate deja.co.jp?

It's just because some meta-characters like '<' '&' or
'>' in iso-
-2022-jp encoded texts were converted to character
entity references
of HTML (ex '&' instead of '&'). I don't know a
way of avoiding
this if the encoding of the messages could not be
changed; you can
get rid of the trouble by just converting them into
euc-jp, if possible.

this problem may be related to how when i try to read
the
same page with
<http://www.embjapan.org.uk/viewer.html>,
all the kanjis come out weird.
