     An International symposium on nuclear structure physics is
  organized by Chung-Yuan Christian University.  Nuclear Structure
  physics is now entering a new era.  On the one hand, because of
  the rapid deployment of modern computational tools (especially
  the new massively parallel systems), many calculations will be
  carried out in this decade which were previously unimaginable.
  On the other hand, because of its link to astrophysics, many
  new concepts must be developed.  This prompted the organizers
  of this conference to bring in some of the most prominent
  scientists in the field of nuclear structure physics as well
  as nuclear astrophysics to explore the possible next chapters
  of the field.

     The conference will be held during the week of May 10th, 1993
  Chung-Yuan Christian University, which is about an hour away from
  Taipei.  Apart from the Invited Speakers, we have reserved a number
  of 20 - 25 minutes time slots for contributed talks as well.  Also
  there will be one poster session.  We welcome all scientists
  interested in this subject to participate in this conference.  We
  look forward to seeing you in Taiwan in May.
