When these patient's end up in the hospital as inpatients because they were unable to obtain their medications, the inpatient costs escalate so high, that we are cutting off our noses to spite our faces. These folks end up in the hospital, often via the ER, and the cost to us all tends to be much higher than if we were assisting these folks with the paying of their essential medications.
