Anyone visiting Southern states from Massachusetts knows that guns and ammunition are much more freely available than back home. In Massachusetts, it is a felony to carry a concealed weapon, period. Possession of guns and ammunition, including pepper sprays, requires strictly-regulated registration with local police departments, and regular firearms just aren't sold. The question for inquiring minds is whether Massachusetts enjoys a lower rate of violent crimes, including `murder in self-defense' than states with other kinds of laws. -- ================================================== Guess what?
