Late, yes.

They WILL add late penalties. If you're one day late. And no, you won't
get it waived either.

Balderdash.

I don't believe you even believe your own bullshit. You run a business
over there. You KNOW damn well that if you miss a tax payment deadline
for EFPTS (or its paper equivalent before that) the IRS hits you with
penalties and interest and there is NO WAY you can avoid paying them.

NO way.

If you don't file timely, you lose. Period. End of discussion. Fork up
the money, we want it, that's the end of the discussion. You will get a
bill for those and they will NOT waive it.

Back in the days when I had to run these to the bank (before EFPTS) there
were a couple of occasions that I simply could not get to the bank in time
to make the cut-off. Not due to my own fault in the majority; there was
one instance in particular where the roads were literally impassable due to
a winter storm. I got hit with the penalties (20% of the tax due!) for being
ONE DAY late and they did not CARE that the entire city was basically shut
down and that it required until 2:00 AM for many of my staff to get home -
nine hours for a drive that usually took 30-40 minutes.

The IRS didn't give a damn about the reason - all they cared about was that
the filing wasn't timely and neither was the check. That was the beginning
and end of the discussion.

You know this full well Barry, because you run a business too.

Cut the lies and bullshit.

Yes - cough up the penalties. Remedies? What remedies? The statute says
you pay this penalty, you pay it. Period.

>Even most (slightly) late tax payments are accepted without penalty,

Balderdash.

As long as it's for Gore, right?

(This is why the Democrats, in their interest of "fairness" and "counting
ALL the votes", haven't asked the courts to order the ENTIRE STATE to be
recounted, for absentee ballots with mangled APO or FPO postmarks that are
otherwise valid to be recounted, etc, right?

Nice try. Give it up.)
