Our dog, Pico (with a long "i"), is appoximately 5 years old; I've had him for most of his life (since he was about 2 weeks old). he is approximately 45 lbs. He is neutered, and he is a mix... we've been told he's a mix of some combination of Lab, Rottweiler, Chow, and German Shephard. He looks more like a lab than anything. If needed, I can get all of his medical records from 2 local vets. Here are some pictures of him (right column): http://www.torimoto.net/taka/sabrina.html My reason for trying to find him a new home: I've had him with another dog and my other dog just recently (2 weeks ago) passed away suddenly from a liver disease (or possibly even cancer). She was 11 years old, and I had her for 10 years; she was a very very very good companion to Pico (they played with each other so well, and kept each other company). Both dogs were taken in by myself as stray dogs. We also had our first child 2 years ago, and the attention that we have been able to give to our 2 dogs had never been as much as it used to be. Pico is a dog that really enjoys a companion dog, or owners who can give him a lot of attention (more than we can give him anymore because of our child). His favorite thing is to be pet on the head or chin (he often rests his chin on your leg or rubs his head on your hand), and he is not (never been) a "licking" dog. He has never gotten into any food or licked anyone (we have no idea why). Also, 2 years ago, we had moved into a house that does not have a fenced-in backyard (nor much of a backyard); our previous house had a large fenced in backyard for both of our dogs. So both of our dogs have been living indoors for the past 2 years without any problems.. but we do know that Pico enjoys the outdoors more than indoors (he likes to "pounce" around like a horse). Please email me at (ttorimoto-at-yahoo-dot-com) if you are interested, or know of anyone who may be.

Cute dog... would he be suitable for (1) being a country dog and (2) as a companion for a 10 year old boy?
