No, it is an active attempt to do something about what occurs during the weekend of freaknic instead of sitting on their a##es and bit##ing about it every chance they get. It is so easy and simple to sit around and complain. A lot of people in Atlanta seem very adept at it. When it comes to actually doing something to deal with the problem and discussing the situation rationally all we hear is "Take it away, we don't want it, blah blah blah". Well, there are people who actually have taken the effort to stop complaining, dropping blame and whining. They have actually taken the time. money and effort to promote and do something positive that weekend. And again what do we hear? the same old sarcasm<sp>, and complaining and bit##ing. For gods sake, you may not want the kids here, but they are comming, at least be happy that someone is trying to do something to help the situation. It is obvious that you will not. >Whatever it is, take it to New Orleans or back to Virginia Beach.. Freaknic was never in VB, this is the first year for freedom fest. Besides, Easy solution isn't it? Well, the easy solutions normally are the worst ones. Running something or someone out of your town is not the answer. Granted, there are many people in Atlanta who may not want the event, but there are also many who are happy that it happens here. Finding a way to host it and make it work and have the least possible negative effect is what we need to be doing. There are many ignorant<sp>, and stupid things that are done during freaknic. This to be expected. When that many people get together there are bound to be bad fruits in the bunch. But blindly casting blame on every person who takes part in freaknic is stupid. Just as it is stupid to blame an entire race for the actions of some extremist or a racist few. >.I don't >care for the anarchy in my town... I do not care for that at all, but I am trying to do my best to ensure that the upcomming weekend does not fall to that. Sitting on my rump whining and being zenophobic will not help avoid that. Taking active action to ensure that the weekend goes smoothly will. Richard. BTW: Newt, if you read this don't forget to take your cameras to Daytona also. I mean between freaknic and Daytona beach you can probably get your houseboys to eliminate all aid to college students. ------------------------------------ > Richard J.B.
