No, your brother driving to work is different than your brother driving
a load on the job, his work in other words.

The LTL drivers that run regular runs are now making .38 to over .50
per mile, both out and back, on their regular jobs. On top of that are
the benifits, such as H&A and vacations.

What I said was only .50 per mile out and back with no benifits and all
liability. What happens if there is a wreck while hauling that private
load? Who do you think is going to be listed first on the lawsuits?

I don't drive commercially much anymore, but when I do let someone talk
me into taking a rush load, you can bet your booties it's a company
with good liability insurance and a good track record.
