Are New Yorkers more likely to be unarmed victims to looters? I know after Katrina, the New Orleans government confiscated guns, leaving residents prey to looters, without being able to defend themselves. But in New York, with its absolutely anti-gun culture, were these people even inclined or allowed to own guns in the first place? Are they totally at the mercy of looters now? And there are reports of gangs breaking through the roof of a liquor store and unloading cases of goods to their friends below, as the police stood there and watched. Arent the police and National Guard supposed to be out protecting people from looting, and arresting, even shooting looters? Seems like things are getting more desperate by the day there, as it could be weeks or months until power and civil society is restored. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/incredible-stories-and-pics-this-is-what- becks-mercury-one-charity-found-and-is-doing-when-it-w "A local supermarket had been looted, a local pharmacy had been ransacked, and then there were the gangs. They said they have received several calls from members of the church who had boarded themselves in their own apartments and are afraid to come out because of these roving gangs of kids, which are now already being named wolf packs, Glenn Beck explained on his show this morning. Theyre terrorizing the neighborhood."
