Need references on Expert/Knowledge Based Systems

I have a student who is interested in doing some work on a Knowledge Based/
Expert system for an undergrad thesis but has had difficulty finding references
apart from an article in High Technology a couple months back.  I have read a
few other articles, but can't put my finger (or mind) on them at the moment.
	I would appreciate hearing of any good things to read at anything
from an introductory to advanced level.  Please respond by mail.  Thanks...
