I apologize to any users who planned to use our facilities Friday night
but weren't able to, because we were shut down for backups.  I goofed,
and failed to give people proper advance warning of the really-long
backups.  As a small measure of atonement, I've automated the advance
warnings so that the inconvenience won't happen again.
