This being the case, then to dispel the feelings of title fraud,
I'd suggest that folks who send you their VIN and vehicle
description, replace the last 6 digits of the VIN with
place-holding X's.  This will still give you what you need without
passing the owner's actual "serial" number.

I believe that this is your first follow-up since your post.  I
would have expected more details on the legitimacy of this project.
Maybe a name/phone/add of the project/programmer.  You would likely
get a far better response from the net if the project was better
described.  The extensive follow-up easily shows that many are
skeptics at this point.
