I thought Ken Starr was chosen by a panel of 3 judges including
Supreme Court Chief Justice Renquist?  (I forget who the other judges
were but remember that they were oppointed by either Reagan or
Bush...)  Curiously enough shortly before Renquist appointed Starr he
had lunch with Lauch Faircloth and Dan Burton...

Doesn't mean that there was a conspiracy, but certainly the GOP should
have taken better care to avoid the *appearance* of partisanship or
conspiracies.
