Sure, but briefly: Walter Heise hase a Performa 5260 with a misbehaving
monitor - it turns purple after about an hour of use. There apparently
is some sort of extended warranty on that machine, but no one wants to
honor it. He sent it in to Card (a service center) where they 'fixed'
the problem. It came back. He looked at the description of the repair,
and discovered that they didn't find anything wrong and replaced the
pram battery (that's the buffer that I assume he's talking about) and
recalibrated the monitor, for DM 251. Then he tried to send it in to
sendamac - the place where he got it from for warranty service, after
speaking to a sympathetic woman, but they sent it back to him too,
because the warranty apparently didn't apply to the machine.

Naturally he's not happy with the situation, and isn't happy with Apple.

The reply suggests that he take up the repair with Card.

Ciao,
Jeremy

PS.
an Apple geschickt.
