You young'uns know little of ice at GT.

My freshman year... winter QUARTER of '96 there was a thick
layer of ice all over campus (and the ground wasn't warm, as it has
been here).

A few of the guys out of my dorm (Smith) poured water down the sidewalk
behind Howell & Smith to smooth the layer of ice and then proceeded
to surf on it using trays 'borrowed' from Brittain dining hall.

A few of these trays also made their way to the top of Bobby Dodd...
but noone I saw made it more than 10ft down the hill without falling.

I don't live on campus anymore, but from what I've seen outside, i'd
guess that we probably had at least twice the amount of snow and ice
as this year. I'm sure that fogeys even older than (blizzard '92) have
even better stories to tell than me.
