Ever seen MacOS 8? Wonder why it has sold 2 million copies in 3 months in
an industry where selling 100,000 copies is considered a gold-mine? MacOS
8.1 will be in in 6 weeks or so, the new line of Macs will be out in less
than a month and are quite impressive. (e.g. 233MHz PowerPC G3, 1Mb
backside cache, 4 Gig, 24X, 32M, 10baseT, 3 PCI slots for under $2000,
266MHz loaded version with 8Mb video card and 8 gig for under $3k... and
those are the mid-range machines!)

IMHO you should buy what you like, and if you like Windows, go for it.
However, don't fool yourself, Windows may have won some battles, but the OS
war is still on. Just wait for Rhapsody (DR 1 was just seeded, it took
less than 9 months to complete, can't say that for Win97/98... or is it
Win00... ;)
