go try MKLinux..think vers 2.1 is the latest one and it runs just like you;d
expect Linux to (well withint reason considering all the flavors)

mklinux.apple.com i think is the web site..

real linux for PMacs...works great for oddball uses on older 6100s and 7100s
for network stuff...
