Hi, Y'all... I have a litter of just-about weaned (eating solid food but sometimes still snack on mom) hybrid rats. Dark brown or light grey, depending on the light you look at them in, and about the size of mice at the moment. 2 males, three females. All have very friendly dispositions, and are very lively and playful. The are the progeny of two male, hooded (rather larger than lab rats, one of the "fancy" [like AKC in dogdom] breeds), and one brown, common, female rats. From the looks of things so far, the coloration will be darker than the mother (likely the black portion of the father(s), but there is very interesting coloration on the belly areas, and all have white socks, so to speak. From the size of the father(s) at this age, I expect that they will be more along the size of the mother (about the size of the typical white rat). I would like to keep one each sex for second generation cross breeding, but would be willing to give them all up to good homes. No charge, and a complete "rat FAQ" (from alt pets rodents) with each adoption. They are *very* easy to keep, and inexpensive, and very trainable. And, for what it is worth, I got my father(s) the same way - on the internet! I am in Cumming, but come to Norcross and Roswell on a frequent basis. Drop me a line if you would like one or more of these charmers! -- Skip Gundlach, 1439wells and 2539fi for the shy Multi-faceted and -talented musician and survivor
