Sorry if this message is not appropriate for this group. I wasn't
sure where to post it.

I'm applying to Stanford's Ph.D. program in Computer Science and
despite the fact that I've requested an application three different
times, I've never received one. The application is due at Stanford on
December 1, and I want to mail it Wednesday before I leave for
Thanksgiving break. Has anyone received an application and then
decided not to apply? If so, and if you wouldn't mind giving the
application to a fellow student, let me know!

why don't you try calling them?

I think most colleges have an apply-by-phone thing...

if not, you can at least get information on your 3 lost applications...

Perhaps they will fax or email one in machine readable format.

Have you checked the school's web page? A lot of schools these days have
applications on their web sites -- usually as Adobe Acrobat files.

Second try -- I realize this is a stretch, but have you checked around
Tech, GSU, Emory, etc. to see if they have applications on hand? High
schools keep college applications on hand, but I'm not sure if the same is
true of colleges/grad schools; I bailed after 16 years of continuous
education (term used loosely).
