Hello Everyone!

        The Dekalb Choral Guild will present its first concerts of the
season.  The concerts will feature works on the themes "a winter's night",
"songs of the mother", and "a birth" and will include works by Barber,
Bach, Rutter, Poulenc, Pinkham and others.  As a special treat, the
concerts will include a performance by the Chamber Singers of seasonal
madarigals and carols presented in Elizabethan costume!

     The concerts will take place Saturday, December 7, at 8 PM and
Sunday, December 8, at 3 PM.  The concert location is the First Christian
Church of Atlanta, 4532 La Vista Road in Tucker.  To get there, take I-285
to the LaVista Road exit.  This exit is between I-85 and I-20 on the
Northeast side of the city.  At the exit, go east on LaVista (away from
the city) for approximately one half mile.  The church will be on the
left.  A $5 donation is requested.  For tickets, concert information, or

     The Dekalb Choral Guild is a competitively auditioned community
chorus, led by a professional staff and supported in performance by
professional vocalists and instrumentalists.  We provide a challenging
artistic outlest for accomplished vocal musicians in an environment that
nurtures individual talent and friendships.  We promote appreciation of
the beauty and breadth of choral music in metropolitan Atlanta through the
study and performance of classical choral repetoire.  Membership is not
denied on the basis of sex, age, race, color, creed, sexual orientation,
or national origin.
