With all due respect, blacks committed 53.4 % of murders in US in 1998.  
Being they represent about 12 % of the population I think this figure
cannot be ignored except by the more ignorant.    And those who prefer
Political Correctness to truth,   which I realize appears to be a small
amjority.   But their ranks are dwindling.
