Wes?  You might wanna hold off on that e-mail to Lee Morris.  I was just
a tad confused at the opening of your arg. that allowing the catalytic

I Highly recommend the Technical Writing class for all engineering
students, based on personal experience.

Being able to influence upper management with facts is an invaluable
tool.  Good or Ill.

ie  5 Mile Island and the Challenger incidents were both set in motion
due to memos from engineers;  the first, a casual appearing warning of
imminent systems failure that was overlooked by upper-management;  the
second, graphs and data designed and presented in a way to hide an
inherent flaw in design from management.
