Info on coloring fire requested

I'd like to find information on how to color the flames
of a fire in a fireplace _safely_ (for a holiday
project). For example, I know that adding copper
sulfate to a fire will create blue/green flames without
any noxious/poisonous effects, and that it is
comercially available.

If you have such information, or know where one might
find it, any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Please respond via email. Thanks.
