Please respond to me via email... I have no time to read the
newsgroups lately. Thanks!
Since many times we here about who NOT to deal with, I figured
I'd post about a good experience I have had...
I'm about to buy a little house in Decatur. Since I am a full-time
Tech student, I don't make much money. But, being 28 and a USAF vet, I have
had time to build up excellent credit.
Bob Wood at HomeBanc handled my $55,000 morgage like it was worth
$300,000. He ALWAYS called me back and answered every question I had, no
matter how small. When I ran into an error on my credit report, instead of
turning me away he worked with me. We worked for about three weeks on my
loan, and thanks to his hard work and his belief in me, I have a loan.
On that note, I'd like to NOT recommend Southtrust Morgage. Dulcinda
Winfrey was quick to tell me to, "Find someone else to handle your morgage"
if I wasn't satisfied with her... I did! :)
I'd also like to recommend Nick Suarez as a realitor. He was the
Seller's Realitor, but was always available to answer any of my questions
when my realitor was not available. He also gave me lots of sound advice
that he did not have to do for me.... I was not his client. I do realize
that it was in his best interestes to be nice to me, but I feel like he went
extra steps to be sure that all my quesions were answered. He also took the
time to contact the Morgage company to try to speed things along. My realitor
went on vacation for 10 days and no one in her office even called me to see
if anything had changed.
I am a first time home buyer. If some of these things are common in
such a transaction, so be it. I'm still very satisfied with both of these
people and would highly recommend them or whoever they refer you to.
Thanks for your time... please respond via email.
