I can't figure out how I did this some years ago. I have a file with many user names, (in RFC format, including their real names), one name to a line. I am trying to write a Korn Shell script to send a message to each of these users sequentially. I've done this once before, with something close to this: while read name < sae.addresses; do ;\ mail -s "MESSAGE" $name < message.file ; done But this isn't quite right. The "read name < sae.addresses" reads the first name of the file each time, rather than reading each name one after the other. (i.e. it results in an endless string of messages to the same user). Luckily I've only done debugging with my test commands so far, so I haven't clobbered anyone's mailboxes. Help! --Pete -- Peter L. Thomas (Senior AE) "Figures never lie, but liars always figure."
