I would like to bring to your attention stress/problem/discomfort
brought about by Olympics to residents of Ga Tech. Residents on campus
will have to move out of their premises for the duration of the
Olympics. During summer 96, we will be competing with all the visitors
for housing. The housing prices then will be outrageous, at least for
us locals.

One alternative is to move off campus now (which is again a
discomfort), and secure a one year lease. I find living on campus very
convinient in that I can walk to school, SAC, and work odd
hours. Also, not all landlords are ready to rent their houses for a
year in the hope of making quick money during the olympics.

I realize this has been announced before and there is housing
committee looking at alternatives, and I hope that the committee will
find us a good housing alternative for the summer.
