POSITION TITLE : UNIX Computer Operator
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: UNIX (junior level)
LOCATION : McLean VA
START DATE : asap
PAY RATE :
LENGTH : Full Time /Direct Hire
Candidate will be responsible for daily operations of numerous centrally operated UNIX ( to include Sequent, Sun Solaris
2.5.x) and NT platforms. These systems will be manned 12 hours a day, 5 days a week for continual operations of key
corporate data systems. Candidate must have a solid UNIX background and be able to perform reliable backups, restorations,
data transfers, user account administration, etc. Candidate will be expected to learn NT and TCP/IP. Candidate will also be
expected to learn other software applications unique to Mitretek Systems. This is second shift from 3 PM to 12 PM, M-F. Can
advance to 1st shift.
Desired candidate with experience in Shell Script, SQLplus, telnet, FTP, MicroSoft Office, C, C++ and with large-scale
(250+ node), nationally-networked, would be a definite plus. Training is available
Must be able to work well with a good team of people.
High school diploma or college degree preferred with 2 yearsοΏ½ experience or with training in computer usage & operations.
