The move is not valid. The rules for an-passan (I know it's not written that
way but is sounds like it) follows:

If you move your pawn two steps forward (as your first move with that pawn of
course).

AND your opponent has a pawn located to the left or right of the sqaure
your pawn moved to. (i.e your opponent's pawn was located in a way that made
it was possible for him to capture your pawn if it only moved 1 step forward
and not two).

THEN your opponent may take your pawn as if you only moved your
pawn one step forward (He removes your pawn, and place his pawn on the square
behind (closer to you) your captured pawn).

Your opponent may only do this if he does it as his first move after you moved
your pawn. If your opponent does not do this, you may do it against his pawn
as your next move (and only then).

The rule is ONLY walid in this case. If you first move your pawn one step
forward and then move it one more step forward, the rule is not valid, if your
opponent does not grab the chanse to take your piece in his first move after
you moved it two steps, he may not use the rule, etc.

The rule was made after it was made legall to move your pawn two steps as your
fist move with the pawn...
