  I feel really stupid, and am sorry for wasting bandwidth.  I figured out why
I couldn't run the Makefile: I had to run it via the MAKE program!  Sorry for
the bandwidth waste and making a fool of myself!  Mike
P.S. Working just fine now, except wish I had more of a quota to keep some of
this in!
