A new version of GNU Chess is available.
To get it, connect to Internet host venera.isi.edu (10.1.0.52,
128.9.0.32) during off-hours (This is a pacific timezone machine).
Ftp via anonymous ftp and gobble /usr/ftp/pub/gnuchess.tar.Z,
a compressed tar file of 363,081 bytes.
Use binary mode and enable hash-marks with your ftp to see
the progress of the transfer.
Once you've got it, do "uncompress gnuchess.tar; tar xf gnuchess.tar;
make"
New in this version:
* some extensions to the opening book to accomodate
players who enjoy the Vienna Game. Drawn from ECO.
