Hello again,
Could somebody please explain to me how the 'force' command works? From
experimenting it seems that 'force' alone will (sometimes?) enable me to
enter one move for white and black. Typing 'force 1' (or just about any
number) will allow me to enter any number of moves. What is the proper way
to end this? The answer is *not* 'both', because when I type that, the
computer will move white allowing black no moves at all! Usually white is
quick to QxK (!!) and after that white plays (!!!) all sorts of fun things
:-) An example is below my sig. Surely this is a bug. (This is on ULTRIX,
btw.)
--- Allan.
PS: Thanks for the pointers to the VMS port of gnuchess at
nrlvax.nrl.navy.mil. I'll try to get it running (there is a checsum error
in the share files, but the source seems to be avaliable [I hope --- but
the link is down now.])

The following move is fun :-) QxKf7 It's not legal!! You can't capture
the king. Neat score, btw. Also note the time and the depth.
