The above code has been placed in:

	gnuchess-3.1.winner-uniform-platform.tar.Z

on prep.

To build the precise version, one would first download 
gnuchess-3.1.tar.Z, then replace the files mentioned in the
platform file on top of those in the gnuchess-3.1.tar.Z file
and then build.

There are only a few critical files in the platform file.
They must be used instead of their counterparts in the standard
3.1 distribution.
