Some weeks ago, i read on this board that GnuCHess4.0 pl60 will be available "next" week. It should have included a new version of xboard and a compile option for running it under DOS. Please can anybody tell me, whether this is true and where it is available on FTP site. Thanks Klaus

Look for a release by the end of the year; there are improvements to both xboard and gnu chess. The main improvement to gnu chess will hopefully be the addition of the Null Move to the search, but there are many other changes as well. Just read this bulletin board and you will hear of it first here. Stuart
