Yoho ! I'm searching for a possibility to let two users on different machines play chess against one another using XBoard 2.0. I think many people might have had the same idea, so there could easily be a solution to my problem already. If anybody can give me a hint, please mail me. Alaric (p7003ag@sun1.lrz-muenchen.de)

If anyone writes code for human-human playing in xboard, please send it to me and I will merge it into the next release. Right now I'm merging in some code from John Chanak to let xboard be a front end to the Internet Chess Server. This provides human-human playing using the chess server as an intermediary. You can get John's version of the code via FTP from valkyries.andrew.cmu.edu if you're in a hurry. --Tim
