[this might have faild to reach you the first attempt]

Don't you hate when you do a list-directory (C-x C-d) and then try to
find a file (C-x C-f) from the "*Directory*" buffer? the
"*Directory*" buffer's current default directory is the same as the
one you were in when you first created the "*Directory*" buffer (when
you first did a list-directory) (use M-x pwd to check it), and bears
no relation to the directory it displays. Subsequent list-directory
calls change the contents of the "*Directory*" buffer, but not its
current default directory.

I propose that when one does a list-directory, the "*Directory*"
buffer should also do a "cd" to the directory it will display.
